WHAT

Contra Costa Health Services (CCHS) will hold a media briefing announcing a mandatory order prohibiting public and private mass gatherings of 100 or more people.

The new order from the CCHS health officer is posted at cchealth.org/coronavirus.

WHO:

Speakers will include Contra Costa Board of Supervisors Chair Candace Andersen and Contra Costa health officials.

WHEN:

1 p.m., March 14, 2020

WHERE:

CCHS Office of the Director, 1220 Morello Ave., Martinez

WHY:

The health officer’s goal is to firmly establish the critical need to reduce the spread of COVID-19 by eliminating crowds.
