The continuing effort to protect people from secondhand smoke and help smokers in Contra Costa County quit is the topic of a new podcast from Contra Costa Health Services (CCHS) on cchealth.org, the department website.
The two-minute podcast features CCHS Director William Walker, MD, talking about how attitudes about tobacco have changed in the past 20 years as Contra Costa County has been at the forefront of the fight to protect to reduce exposure to secondhand smoke and youth access to tobacco.
The podcast was posted Thursday at, cchealth.org, the CCHS website, and is accessible from the home page by computers with MP3 capability.
"Podcasting is a way for Internet users to hear me talk about a subject in my own voice," Dr Walker says. "This is a good topic for a podcast, because the issue of secondhand smoke affects everyone."
