Media Briefing on WNV Death, Infections

What
Contra Costa Health Services will conduct a media briefing on the first human death from West Nile Virus (WNV) in Contra Costa County. An elderly woman has died and two other WNV cases involving Contra Costa residents have been reported to the health department. Contra Costa Mosquito and Vector Control District also will provide information on mosquito control and scheduled aerial spraying.
Who
The briefing will be conducted by Dr. Wendel Brunner, Contra Costa County Public Health Director, and Craig Downs, General Manager, Contra Costa Mosquito and Vector Control District.
